Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register.
Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain on 1 April 2010.

What does Gas Safe Register do? - The main focus of the Register is on improving and maintaining gas safety to the highest standards. We make sure all gas engineers on the register, are qualified to work with gas. We work to protect the public from unsafe gas work through:

• Regular inspections of Gas Safe registered engineers
• Educating consumers and raising awareness of gas safety
• Investigating reports of unsafe gas work

Domestic LPG and Natural Gas – Installation, maintenance, overhaul and repair, inspection, certification and improvement of commercial gas assets. Our gas engineers are trained to the following standards and have successfully completed the modules below.

• CCN1 - Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety Course, plus appliances
• CENWAT1 – Domestic Natural Gas Appliances - Boilers & Water Heaters
• CKR1 - Domestic Cookers
• HTR1 - Gas Fire and Wall Heater Safety

Commercial Natural and LPG Gas – Installation, maintenance, overhaul and repair, inspection, certification and improvement of commercial gas assets. Our gas engineers are trained to the following standards and have successfully completed the modules below.

• COCN1 - Core Commercial Gas Safety Assessment Criteria
• CIGA1 – Install, service, repair and breakdown of commercial indirect fired heating appliances and equipment
• CORT1 – Install, commission, service, repair and breakdown of gas fired overhead luminous radiant plaque and radiant tube heaters
• ICPN1 – Installation of commercial pipework (First Fix)
• TPCP1 – Testing and purging commercial pipework to the requirements of IGE/UP/1

Commercial Catering LPG and Natural Gas – Installation, maintenance, overhaul and repair, inspection, certification and improvement of commercial catering gas assets. Our gas engineers are trained to the following standards and have successfully completed the modules below.

• CCCN1 – Core commercial catering gas Safety Assessment Criteria – NG
• COMCAT1 – Install, service, repair, breakdown and commission commercial appliances in Table 1 grouping
• COMCAT3 – Install, service, repair, breakdown and commission commercial appliances in Table 3 grouping
• LPG Domestic, Commercial, Catering, Boats, Caravans, Static Caravans and Leisure Accommodation -
• CONGLP1 PD - Fuel Changeover Natural Gas to LPG Permanent Dwellings
